Meet Mirek Werykowicz, RMT
Mirek has practised massage therapy for over 25 years. After training in physical education in Poland, he earned his RMT diploma at Kikkawa College in Toronto in 1996 and has worked with active professionals and athletes ever since.
He is registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO). His focus is honest, treatment-led massage that helps relieve pain and tension and supports recovery, delivered with the same care every visit, in English or Polish.

What is the difference between a massage therapist and a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT)?
An RMT is registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO), a regulated health profession. An RMT issues an official receipt that you can submit to your extended health plan for possible reimbursement. Mirek is an RMT, registered since 1996; you can confirm him by name on the CMTO public register.
Is massage therapy covered by insurance in Ontario?
OHIP does not cover registered massage therapy. Most private and workplace extended health plans do offer RMT coverage. You pay at the visit and receive an official RMT receipt to submit to your insurer for reimbursement.

What should I expect on the first visit?
Your first visit includes a free assessment so the treatment fits your needs. Mirek sets up a comfortable space, discusses your goals and any areas of pain or tension, and tailors the session. You stay covered and only the area being worked on is exposed.
Do you offer prenatal, hot stone, or cupping?
Not currently. Mirek focuses on therapeutic, deep tissue, sports, trigger point, myofascial release, Swedish/relaxation and lymphatic drainage massage. If you are unsure which is right for you, call or text and he will help you choose.
